To mark the 70th birthday of Leslie Howard, Heritage presents a new CD of works by Beethoven, featuring the first complete recording of the composer’s own piano transcription of his ballet music The Creatures of Prometheus. Howard, known for his performances and recordings of transcriptions by Liszt, is the perfect artist to commit this repertoire to disc. It appears in an ideal coupling with Beethoven’s ‘Eroica’ or ‘Prometheus’ Variations, Op. 35.
